JUVENILE STURGEON RELEASES RETURN!

Save Our Sturgeon - Nechako White Sturgeon Conservation Centre

Date: 13 May, 2016

Start: 09:00 am

Location: Nechako River at Riverside Park, Burrard Avenue, Vanderhoof, BC

The event is open to the public.  There will be approximately 600 hatchery produced juvenile sturgeon available for school children to release into the Nechako River.  Due to the limited number of fish to release, releasing a fish will be offered to elementary school aged children in SD91 only.

To date, the 2016 release event is being hosted by the NWSRI with support from the District of Vanderhoof and Freshwater Fisheries Society of BC.

UPDATE: All fish have now been allocated to students for this upcoming release event. But this event is open to the public, so schools (and everyone else) not directly involved in the release are still welcome to attend! For more information please email info@nechakowhitesturgeon.org
